Tom and Sarah ran a grocery store on Illinois Street until 1930 and the family lived upstairs. Sometime after Florence married Les McQuown, Tom and Sarah moved out to the McQuown house at 1512 Georgetown Rd.

Sarah died in December 7, 1936 at age 70 and T.N. died February 20, 1947 at age 88.
